Good Karma Figurines x 3

Photo: Martin Kurt Haglund

Vooote! “Lucky To Love” is loose! Please lend us a few minutes of your precious time. Probably the easiest way we can offer you to practice good Karma this year:

Level of difficulty: EASY
Systemlisten - Danish national radio’s way to let you tell them what is hit and what is shit, we suppose. Go here, click 3 hearts and that’s it!

Level of difficulty: MEDIUM
Det elektriske barometer - the important, and good as ever, alternative chart. Choose your 3-5 favourite tracks (”Lucky To Love” at the top, of course) from this list and send it in an e-mail to barometer@dr.dk.

Level of difficulty: (NOT) HARD (FOR A MUSIC-LOVER)
To vote for the song on Soundvenue’s High 5 list, you need to create an account, but that’s not an obstacle is it?

And/or tell your friends to listen to FIGURINES‘ music.

Our fingers are crossed! Thanks.

Lucky To Love Figurines

Lucky To Love by Figurines

FIGURINES have released a new EP featuring a new song plus 4 additional tracks - looking forward and back and around the corner. It’s available digitally in Denmark now - in the rest of the world soon. Physically you can buy it on CD or vinyl. More info on where to get it on the Figurines website.

Quotes:
Listen to “(…) this fine, sunshine-animated single, that doesn’t make it harder, than it is. Simply infectously melodic alternative vintage rock” - SOUNDVENUE

“The sound evokes memories of the 2007-predecessor “When The Deer Wore Blue”, the melody glistens like the purest pop-gold and the band’s candid charm is intact.” - GAFFA

“(…) tight-fitting indie rock caught in the flight of Christian Hjelm’s clear vocals. An uncluttered and sun-brilliant song of the kind that you wake up with on the brain.” - POLITIKEN

FIGURINES focus on “(…) the good, catchy pop melody with complex layers.” - DANISH NATIONAL RADIO .

News: Figurines, Shout Wellington Air Force, Oh No Ono, Marie-Louise Munck & No Blood In Bones

All kinds of good news for you in this post.

FIGURINES are releasing a new EP - “Lucky To Love” next week. The EP features old and new songs and takes its title from a song off the forthcoming fourth album by the band, due in the Fall. For more info check out the band’s website. We’re particularly looking forward to the vinyl edition.

You can stream - and vote for - “Lucky To Love” (the song) on Soundvenue’s High 5 list this week.

This Saturday both FIGURINES and SHOUT WELLINGTON AIR FORCE will be playing the fine and eclectic Pop Revo Festival in Århus, Denmark. FIGURINES will be performing their second album “Skeleton” (voted 2nd best Danish album of the last decade by Soundvenue) in it’s entirety. SHOUT WELLINGTON AIR FORCE just put out their debut full-length, entitled “Clean Sunset”, and you can listen to it’s wonderful sounds here.

OH NO ONO are playing in Århus on Friday before heading to the UK once again in support of their excellent - and still fresh - “Eggs”. See a full listing of their upcoming shows here.

MARIE-LOUISE MUNCK released her lovely solo debut-album “The Birds Fly Up” in February. In May you’ll finally have the chance to see and hear her perform her beautiful songs live, supporting Mikael Simpson, at this year’s SPOT Festival and more. For more info, check her MySpace page.

TWINS TWINS are also playing this year’s SPOT Festival. But prior to that they’ll be supporting Kissaway Trail on to shows in Denmark. More info on the twins MySpace page.

Also performing live in May are NO BLOOD IN BONES - supporting Bear In Heaven (US) at Loppen, Christiania. Listen to their excellent, self-titled debut EP here.

Hopefully we’ve given you a few reasons to leave the house!

Yours truly,
Morningside Records.

Shout Wellington Air Force

Their album hits digital and physical stores on April 5th. This week you can stream the album in its entirety over at Soundvenue. Give it a few spins.

Pre-order of the vinyl - limited to 500 copies - is live here.

New Pre-Orders: No Blood In Bones, Shout Wellington Air Force

No Blood In Bones

No Blood In Bones “No Blood In Bones”
Available on 12″ vinyl, 45 RPM from 24 bit masters, limited to 500 copies. Download included.

The real excitement starts when you start staring at the contrasts in No Blood In Bones music: The modern, urban sound as opposed to the almost landscape painting lyrical universe, connecting the dots between inner and external conditions and places. The drive of the music as opposed to a voice that seems emotionally cool and desperate at the same time. It’s when these oppositions don’t cancel each other out, but leave artistic tension, the fun starts.

Stream all songs and order your copy at Bandcamp.

Shout Wellington Air Force

Shout Wellington Air Force “Clean Sunset”
Available on vinyl with download, limited to 500 copies and CD.

After the release of their debut ep “Carry Yourself” in 2007 Shout Wellington Air Force departed on a musical journey that has taken them to strange and eerie places and back. And when they returned all of us knew, that they would never be the same! But now we love them even more. The backbone in their music is still the song and they survive by balancing what they give you and what they only almost give you on an album, that will haunt you after a few spins, with melodies and hooks you didn’t notice hit you, but which you come back to look for. This is exciting stuff.

And it looks beautiful too. With artwork by Alexander Tovborg and design by Simon Roche.

Stream 2 songs from the album and pre-order your vinyl copy at Bandcamp.
